Finds·Reading
What's on the Nightstand
A running shelf of what I am reading and what has stayed with me. Right now it is slow
non fiction, the kind you read ten pages of and then put down to think about. I will
add a line about each one and why it earned the space.

Five Small Things I'm Loving
A tea worth the extra two minutes of steeping. A linen throw that changed how the couch
feels. A ceramic mug from a maker two towns over. Nothing expensive. Just things chosen
carefully instead of quickly.
Finds·Makers
Makers Worth Knowing
Other small hands on businesses I keep coming back to. Potters, soap makers, a woman
who binds notebooks by hand. If you are going to buy something, buy it from someone
who touched it.

Rooms That Made Me Stop
A folder of spaces I keep going back to. Not showrooms. Real rooms with worn corners
and good light, the kind that look like someone actually lives there and likes it.
What Calms Me·Boundaries
Protecting Your Peace Isn't Selfish
No is a complete sentence, and saying it early is kinder than saying it late. On
learning to guard the quiet hours the way you would guard any other appointment, and
what happens to your days once you finally do.
What Calms Me·Reading
Why I Read Instead of Scrolling
Both fill the same hour. Only one of them gives it back to you. On choosing the slower
input on purpose, and how much quieter my head is on the nights I manage it.
What Calms Me·Mornings
The First Twenty Minutes
How you start decides more than you would think. Not a five step routine. Just twenty
minutes that belong to you before anything is allowed to ask for something. Here is
what mine looks like on a good day, and on a hard one.
What Calms Me·Stillness
On Sitting With It
Some days the calm does not come and the habit is still worth keeping. A note on the
difference between fixing a feeling and simply making room for one, and why I light
the candle either way.
A gentle note. Everything in What Calms Me is personal experience, shared the way one
person tells another what helped. It is not medical or mental health advice. If you are
carrying something heavy, please talk to someone qualified. That is a strong thing to do,
not a weak one.
